Big Cheque for Diabetes Support

The St. Marychurch and Babbacombe Conservative Club, Torquay has continued with its charitable giving by raising money for diabetes sufferers.

In our picture the Club's President, Derek Kirby, is seen presenting a cheque for £1,000 to David Lockett, Chairman of the Torquay Branch of the Diabetes UK support group.

The money was raised by the Club throughout the last year and the presentation was made at the President and Chairman's Evening.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE BY GOSPORT'S MO

The Committee of Gosport Conservative Club, Hampshire, wanted to show Mrs Mo Wilson how much they valued her work so they recommended her for the A.C.C.`s Distinguished Service Award.

Mo has served on the Committee for nine years and for the last five has been Entertainment Chairman.

In this time she has organised all the Club's day trips, short break holidays and the weekly entertainment.

In a fitting tribute to her dedicated, and much appreciated, work the presentation of the Award was made by Club President, Peter Viggers, M.P.
