ACC Cheif Executive in Dissolution Honours

I know that all ACC Club Members will want to join me in congratulating our Chief Executive, Philip Smith CBE on his nomination as a Conservative Life Peer in the Dissolution Honours.

Philip has devoted almost his entire working life to the ACC having joined the staff in 1987. There is no doubt that his efforts and hard work helped to transform the fortunes of the ACC putting us in the position we are in today; helping our Clubs to continue and further their Conservative objects and social activities.

Philip will continue to carry out his role as the ACC Chief Executive together with his various Party positions and his Chairmanship of CORCA. On behalf everyone involved with the ACC I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Philip and his family on this very well deserved honour.

Following the announcement of this nomination, Philip said that ‘This additional role to my work with the ACC on a professional basis and for the Party on a voluntary one, is a huge privilege. I hope that I shall be able to make a positive contribution in helping the Party deliver its manifesto pledges by getting our legislation through the Lords and to working for many years to come in undertaking the vital role that the Upper House plays in the parliamentary process. I have been extremely touched by the number of generous and kind messages I have received.”
