The Beaconsfield Conservative Club, Heywood, has raised £1,650 for Macmillan Cancer Research by holding a special Coffee Morning to as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Fundraising Push.
Each year the Club holds this event and this year they had many stalls selling cakes, pies, books, clothes along with raffles and tombolas. For the first time ever this year the Club also hosted a nail polish stall which proved to be popular.
Bringing all the proceeds together, the event raised £1,650 for Macmillan which is a fantastic amount and a cheque will be presented to Macmillan in the future.
Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and has raised more than £138 million for Macmillan since it began. The money raised is used to provide essential support to people who are living with cancer and their families.
