After his success in May Kevin Foster, MP for Torbay, has been arranging drop in events at the clubs across his constituency where politics over a pint have been on the agenda.
The Clubs across the Bay played a key role in helping secure the return of this constituency to the Conservative fold after 18 years held by the Liberal Democrats. From providing direct support for the campaign to ensuring that the thousands of club members living in the bay knew the national importance of turning the bay blue. Since May Kevin has been organised drop in sessions where club members can pop in to meet their MP and discuss the issues of the day. The most recent was at Hele Conservative Club in Barton, Torquay.
Kevin said: “Over the last two years Torbay’s Clubs have provided vital support to our campaigning efforts. Since being elected as the MP I have been keen to keep in touch with members, not just by popping in for the odd drink, but arranging sessions when members know I will be available for a chat over a pint. With just a couple left to organise the sessions have been positive and a great way to meet members who want to discuss the range of issues the country, and our bay, is facing.”
