The Ruthin Conservative Club, Clywd, has raised more than £1000 for the Hope House Chairty and North Wales Cancer Treatment.

The Club’s previous Chairman, Elwyn Evans, oversaw the collection during his year as Chairman. Members donated their change into bottles on the bar and when Elwyn celebrated his 70th birthday party at the Club, family and friends were encouraged to donate to the Chairman’s Charity Fund.

Elwyn and current Club President David Thomas presented the cheques to Hope House and North Wales Cancer Treatment at a presentation evening held at the Club. Each charity received £530 each.

The cheques were received by Iona Davies on behalf of North Wales Cancer Treatment and by Eluned Yaxley, on behalf of Hope House.

Hope House provides specialist nursing care and support to lifelimited children, young people and young adults from Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales. Their support extends to the whole family - from diagnosis, throughout the lifetime of the child and beyond.
