The Salisbury Conservative Club, Reading, also supported the 25th anniversary of the Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraising effort by holding a Coffee Morning to raise funds for the Charity.
Club Members Kelly Hawkins and Claire Ralph approached the Committee with the idea to support the event and within 10 days the event was ready to be held.
Club Members donated cakes and raffle items on the day and those that could not attend provided direct donations.
During the Coffee Morning there were many competitions to be enjoyed by the Club’s Members and their guests, and a round of bingo was also enjoyed by those present. Rather than charging for cakes and coffee donations were requested and in total these donations raised £527. The raffle held on the day also raised £500, with prizes donated by Club Members, which brought the total raised by the Coffee Morning to £1027.
The ACC commends all Clubs which supported the Macmillan 25th Coffee Morning Fundraising Effort.
