Waterloo and Taunton Supports National Armed Forces Day

Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, supported National Armed Forces Day by holding a 1940’s war time charity night, raising funds for SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, Families Association). The event including singer ‘Jo Lancaster and the war years’ show’, 1940’s fancy dress, war time hamper, and hot buffet. A fantastic time was had by all and over £400 was raised for SSAFA.

We know that ACC Clubs are some of the strongest military supporters and our Clubs regularly undertake fundraising work for military charities and are also frequently allow organisations such as the British Legion to use the Club for meetings and events. This is yet another example of how our Clubs support their local communities.
